This thread reminds me of a joke I heard.
A man equipped with a parachute, jumps out of an airplane.
On the way down, he pulls the rip cord and discovers it isn't working and begins frantically struggling to fix it.
As he plummets downward toward the earth, he sees another man in the distance who, for some reason is flying upward at a rapid pace.
As the two pass each other, the man with the parachute shouts " HEY MISTER...DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT PARACHUTES ??? "
The other man shouts back " NOOO.....DO YOU KNOW ANTYING ABOUT GAS STOVES??"

Seems to me that after a bombing, a carts like these, manned or unmanned, would not be welcome. Who's to say a terrorist disguised as an innocuous JW with a literature cart, wouldn't just slip into a crowed area and set off some kind of explosion.

Did you ever have a discussion with an apostate that helped your journey out.
by jwfacts inthere seems to be a number of different ways that apostates try to get jehovah's witnesses realise they do not have the truth, ranging from subtle comments to aggressive attacks.
do you have any that looking back helped you finally leave.
some of the methods include:.

It seems to me that the "rabid apostate" approach scares people off and even a JW's with serious doubts of his or her own, can be intimidated or shocked back into their safe little rut of cognitive dissonance , after an encounter with an apostate.
To me the best way is to quietly raise questions, not demand answers or put them in a position of having to defend anything, and let them know where to go for answers or another point of view.
It seems like a lot fo Apostate encounters with JW's are vindictive in nature and about the Apostate venting his or her frustrations rather than out of a true concern for enlightening anyone. I was far more inclined to look into the questions and doubts I had, on my own once I knew where to look.

I often wonder what would happen if the worlds media would agree to stop reporting protests, bombings and similar events, on all media. It seems to me these folks are trying to make a statement and get attention and that's exactly what they get, worldwide coverage within seconds, every time they pull one of these stunts.
The trouble is, sensational news and graphic video draw the eye of the public toward the products being advertised between each story. Money always wins out in the end.

Southern California USA Congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses On High Alert
by JW GoneBad incircuit overseers, elders, ministerial servants, pioneers and rank & file are stressed out over an ex-jw (kevin) who has visited nearly 20 congregations (orange county) and has high-jacked the opening prayers and done some effective witnessing before he is escorted to the back door.
and everything is caught on video!.
kevin is also visiting numerous jw cart locations from the los angeles area to orange county and giving a most effective wiitness at each location and they're all on video.

I noticed that in the videos I watched, the kingdom halls he visited were practically empty. I wonder if that's the case now in most places?

Brought my non-JW wife to Kingdom Hall for a wedding
by keyser soze inmy brother got remarried to his ex-wife over the weekend.
they had been married for 15 years, but divorced in 2011. they decided to give it another try, because they have 3 kids together, and the dating pool is very thin for jws in their 30's and 40's.
we didn't want to attend, but since i was invited, and they were kind enough to attend our wedding, we decided to suck it up.. the most interesting part was the way my wife responded to the whole ordeal.

She also found it amusing how many times the speaker used the phrase "Jehovah God" during the talk. It must have been 10 to 20 times.
I Always hated that expression "Jehovah God".
Why follow the name Jehovah with the word "God"? There's not that many Jehovahs running around out there that they need to clarify who they are referring to.

Jackson's rose colored watch only cost $399, don't use it as an argument.
by Bad_Wolf ini looked up that watch and see it for $399.
https://www.apple.com/shop/buy-watch/apple-watch/rose-gold-aluminum-pink-sand-sport-band?afid=p238%7csit8pgwuv-dc_mtid_1870765e38482_pcrid_138112194227_&cid=aos-us-kwgo-pla-watch--slid--product-mq142ll/a&product=mq142ll/a&step=detailunsure if the original gold cost a lot more or not, but if told somebody that rose watch is 17,000 and they see it's $399, it'll look like an 'apostate lie'.

$ 399,00 is still a lot of money to spend on a watch, for a "Minister" who makes videos telling children to give him their money instead of buying an ice cream cone.

Average JW: "Not a problem...with Jehovah, anything is possible. Besides that.... we will be perfect and will be able to devise ways to efficiently raise food and manage the earth resources, not to mention, there are other planets to populate once the earth is full."
